Michaela will be teaching a series of Free Chinese Medicine classes at the Brattleboro Food Co-op, offering pearls of wisdom for the coming seasons. On February 9th, we will be learning about adapting to the changes of Springtime, which begins when the sap starts to run. We will discuss how best to avoid illness and nourish ourselves during the Springtime months with food, self-care and understanding of the changes taking place in nature and in our selves.

“Squirrels gather nuts and seeds in August to last them the winter, bears slow down their metabolism to conserve energy in their snowy dens, humans ate bitter greens in the spring to detoxify their body, geese fly south in the fall to warmer weather...all these natural rhythms, cycles and seasons have guided our lives for thousands of years.
In this class with Michaela Wood LAC, you will learn to prepare for the coming season by relating what is happening in our natural world, to what is happening in our bodies, minds & spirits so that we can learn how to care for ourselves with food, self-care and understanding. This class is designed with all the family in mind so that adults and kids alike can benefit from traditional Chinese medicine teachings. There will be tastings of seasonal nourishing foods.”
Saturdays, 10-12: November 3, February 9, May 4, July 27, September 7."
